Welcome the Second Semester of 2008/2009

Well, well, well...Welcome to the second semester of 2008/2009 dear all students of UMS and STMIK Sinar Nusantara...I'll see you again this semester insyaallaah...

What a day...This morning after I dropped Salsa at her school and Royan in his grandpa, I went to UMS to manage the schedule for this semester. Uh, the parking area had been so full that i had to queue for a minute. 

Then after successfully parked my beloved Vega, I rushed onto the fourth floor of I building of UMS. Hmm, have I been that old or are something wrong  with my health for I felt very tired and breathed so quickly when I reached the 4th floor? Oh, my old bones....^_^

About 5 mintes later, i had faced Mr. Arif (the man on the schedule). Unfortunately the schedule for all majors that I handle this semester haven't been complete yet.  However, I felt happy enough for I could meet some friends like Ms. Jimi, Mrs. Dewi (oh, I am very sorry for what happened to you, I hope it'll get better soon), Mrs. yanti, Mrs. Hindun and several more. Just like me, all of them are busy with the new schedule...

Hmm, last but not least, I just do hope that i can manage the schedule well and can be in two days only so that I will still have much time for my kids. Amiin...

Field Assesstment (Akreditasi) of TI (DIII) by BAN-PT

Today, 20 February 2008 is being held a Field Assesstment by BAN-PT for Sinus' TI (DIII) program. This activity is carried out regularly to audit and monitor the process of the learning and teaching program with all its aspects as well. 

So, good luck Sinus....!

Happy Holiday

One semester passed...oh, what a great though hard for me. Alhamdulillaah, it's all finally over. So, just happy holiday dear all my beloved students...May God blesses you with all the best one and the nicest one as you wish for...

Secondly, sorry for all the bad things and sayings I've made. Sorry for the inconvenience during the class and probably the unhoped score...and last but not least GOOD LUCK everybody and see you in a better condition and situation...BYE ;)

Blue Print of Writing I Final Test

Dear all TI students of Muhammadiyah Univeristy of Surakarta

The final examination is just ahead, so get prepared every body. For our class, WRITING I, there will be two problems in the final test. Each is asking you to make a text.

I. Recount text

The topic will be one of the following:

- How You Spent Your Last Holiday

- How You Spent Your Last Lebaran Day

- How You Spent The Last New Year’s Eve of 2009

II. Procedure text

The topic will be one of the following:

- How to Make a Document by Using MS. Word

- How to Make an E-mail Address

- How to Make a Blog by Using Wordpress, Blogspot, Blogsome, or other Providers

NOTES:

1. The test is an open dictionary test.
2. The time is only 75 minutes, so be careful and use it as effectively as possible
   
3. On the test, write your text in the table provided on the test sheet. Consider the elements of each text.
4. Learn the concept and material in the book. Let me know if you find any questions or troubles through my e-mail.

Mid-Test Score of English 1

Dear all students of STMIK SINAR NUSANTARA SURAKARTA taking English 1,

The score of English 1 Mid-Test has been uploaded and can be downloaded in this blog. Just click on the Mid-Test Score of English 1 on the right bar and download it. Any complaints are welcome. Just let me know it.

Those whose score are under 60 and those who HAVEN'T taken the test SHOULD follow the remedial test on the following schedule:
- 24 Dec 2008 at 08.00 AM in C.2.1 (all majors of morning class)
- 15 Dec 2008 at 04.30 PM in C.2.1 (MI and TI of evening class)
- 16 Dec 2008 at 04.30 PM in C. 2.1 (TI* of evening class)

The material of the remedial test:
- written test
- open dictionary test
- describing the given pictures on the test sheet

Writing 1: TI Students of UMS

Dear all semester 1 students of TI, UMS,

Hereby I announce that the next week program in our Writing 1 class will be about making a description text about someone we adore.

Therefore, I inform you all that each of you must bring a picture of someone you adore in your life for example: your mother, your father, your friend, a celebrity, a politician or anyone else. The picture can be a piece of photograph of any size (except 2x3) or taken from a newspaper, magazine or any other media.

As our preparation in the class next week, please study the text and its explanation in our Writing 1 book on page 35.
